Description of St. Augustine Beach Front Resort: St.Augustine Beach Front Resort is located on Anastasia Island in the Atlantic Ocean between the Anastasia State Park and Saint Johns County Pier and Gazebo. The resort features 144 guest rooms that include 20 kitchenettes with beach ocean view, and a Jacuzzi room with a custom built-in tub for two people. The beach side courtyard includes a large swimming pool with a waterslide and a children's play area. Papagallos Bistro Restaurant and Lounge offers the finest in oceanfront dining, and serves breakfast, dinner, a fully-stocked bar, and live entertainment.
Overpriced trash-hole on the beach. Hotel is under renovation, but even the new rooms aren't what is advertised. The older room was dirty, smelly, musty, and moldy. There was grime in the grout. That, paired with the sub-par hospitality made this one of the worst hotels ever. The pools were nice, but so are the YMCA's. Grossly misrepresented, every penny they make must go to the advertising company!
I could not believe this place has not been closed by the board of health. They are the nastiest rooms I have ever seen!! They smell so bad, there is enough mold to start a lab and there was even rust IN the microwave. Do not believe the photos...the hotel looks nothing like that nor do the rooms. They have been "renovating" for a couple years now. Seriously I can not begin to explain how dirty it is. someone needs to find out what office takes care of hotels and have this place shut down!!
